Honestly, how many jokes are there about semen being good for women? It’s moisturizing. It’s all protein and low in carbs. That’s all bollocks but researchers at Cornell University have confirmed that semen has short and long-term effects in women. Alright, so the preceding statement isn’t entirely factual. The research team actually found that the semen of male fruit flies has a significant effect on the female fruit fly after mating. To summarize, in the short-run the female fruit flies produce more eggs and in the long-run, they are less concerned about mating with other males. From the report:
The short-term response occurs during the first 24 h after mating, with the induction of elevated egg production and reduction in receptivity largely dependent on Acps (accessory gland proteins-editor) and not sperm. One Acp, ovulin Read On! »

We’ve mentioned before (HERE) about third world countries breaking drug patents in order to reproduce treatments at lower cost for delivery to their citizens. India and Brazil lead the way in these fields. Often, the large drug companies remonstrated claiming such practices attack the very processes that came up with the new treatments, namely, diverting funds from research & development. At the Womb, we’ve always firmly stood by countries who felt that their citizen’s need for widely available medication outweighed concerns of intellectual property and corporate greed.
Now, however, comes news that drug companies may be spending more than twice the amount of money on advertising and marketing than they do on R&D. In other words, they spend more on letting the customer know that Viagra might Read On! »

It’s a well known fact that men and women appreciate humor in different ways. Now, a unicycling doctor at the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital has claimed that men are funnier than women because they have testicles, which in itself, is rather humorous (if you’re offended by testicle jokes, you must be nuts! That was horrific, we know). Professor Sam Shuster claims that humor is directly linked to aggression in males, an effect of exposure to testosterone in the womb.
Experiments by Shuster show that younger males were more prone to make abusive, jeering or snide remarks when he unicycled down a street. Aggressive humor diminished in older men who tended to make remarks similar to women; praise and encouraging Read On! »

Editor’s note: Say hello to new author, Principessa Coolness. Our first female writer (well overdue really), Principessa writes primarily at her own blog HERE but we’ll be syndicating her material over to the Womb. A cancer survivor and frank conversationist, she begins by exploring how exitways sometimes become entryways in the quest for the next high. Welcome!
Okay, so it’s been a while since I posted the blog about ass rockets (a.k.a suppositories) but since y’all seemed amused by it, I have more to contribute to the topic. With that being said, let’s turn our attention to the subject of, well, ass rockets …
So, my ass is the only orifice of my body that has not been violated Read On! »

Sweet sinsemilla it has finally happened. I have been waiting for this moment for about three years now. For those that don’t know, I am a smoker. I am not a chimney in the sense I don’t smoke a pack a day. Perhaps a pack every 96 hours which equates to about 5 sticks a day. I also plan on quitting this winter season and am smoking less and less these days. However, I vehemently defend my, and everyone else’s, right to smoke.
Over the past few years, the anti-smoking lobby has grown increasingly vocal and influential on the back of misleading data, slick campaigning, sympathetic legislative bodies and a proliferation of milquetoasts. These days, in most developed countries, you cannot smoke indoors at all. Furthermore, Read On! »

Frequent visitors will have noticed that the site design and color scheme have been all over the place lately. For those that don’t know, I’m color blind (red-green-brown deficient), so picking colors that work together has always been a chore for me. That’s why I always need someone with me to buy clothes, etc.
8% of men worldwide are color-blind in some way, so, ladies, if your partner has no idea what’s going on with that purple/blue/red/green dress you chose, forgive him. He may be defective by birth. Men are 10-20 times more likely to be color-blind than women. That said, since men do not pass the X chromosome onto their offspring (the defect is passed in the X chromosome), it is the women who usually pass color-blindness Read On! »

This is all pertaining to the THIS article. Are you kidding me? The price of AIDS treatment is getting more expensive? India is obliged to stop producing generic versions of AIDS treatments because pharmaceutical companies lose out on their investment into the product? Is this the price of joining the WTO?
Fuck the pharmaceutical companies. Yes, they pour millions of dollars and years of research into their drugs but most of the people with AIDS live in developing countries (primarily Africa, India, China, S. America, etc). Many can’t even afford food for god-sakes. From the article:
“The Guardian’s Sarah Bowsley said that there is ‘a lot of pressure’ on the Indian government by the pharmaceutical companies, to stop them producing generic versions of the newer drugs. They know that after the second-line Read On! »
